The Owner
Prof. Frank Karue Ngarua is the owner of Ngarua Services, a research and information company. The company’s research currently focuses on the central role that culture plays in individual and group decisions/actions. He is the author of “The Culture Wars – Globalists vs. Nationalists”, “The Employment Illusion” and “Defining culture and its economic implications – Collectivists vs. Individualists”. Prof. Ngarua has also lectured at various Universities and colleges including, United States International University – Africa, Kenyatta University, Rutgers University and Raritan Valley College . Previously, he successfully published and sold the first annual periodicals index (Ngarua Periodical Indexes) in East Africa, referencing business articles appearing in the Kenyan and East African press for 13 years (1996-2008). From 2006 to 2009, he founded and managed the “Habari Shujaa Career Center” in down-town Nairobi, providing seminars for opportunity seekers that emphasized the career philosophy promoted by the Kenyan Government, “A Job is a Job”. The opportunity seeking strategy promoted during the seminars, emphasized looking for opportunities in all fields and disciplines, instead of restricting yourself to your field of ‘formal education” or “perceived” social status”. As an Independent Consultant he has designed and implemented strategies for various organizations in the Managerial, Financial and Risk Management areas. He has also been employed at various multi-nationals including Merrill Lynch and ITT Industries. He holds a B.Sc. (Economics) from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, an MBA (Finance & International Business) from Rutgers University and a Masters in Human Resource Management from Rutgers University. He considers himself an “Independent Hustler” (see definition below) when participating in the trade economy, and practices Self-reliance/Self-sustenance cultures.

The history of Ngarua Services
From 1996 to 2008, the organization produced the first and only printed business periodicals index of articles appearing in the Kenyan newspapers and magazines categorized by business subject (or topic), company and industry.
From 1998 to 2009, the organization published industry/sector profiles focusing on the Kenyan and East African market. The profiles provided information on the major players in various industries, their market shares and current trends.
From 2006 to 2009, the organization managed the “Habari Shujaa Career Center” in down-town Nairobi, providing seminars for opportunity seekers that emphasized the career philosophy promoted by the Kenyan Government, “A Job is a Job”. The opportunity seeking strategy promoted during the seminars, emphasized looking for opportunities in all fields and disciplines, instead of restricting yourself to your field of ‘formal education” or “perceived” social status”.
